Dear Strathcona Parents,
It’s hard to believe the first month of the school year is almost behind us! With September coming to a close, we’re preparing for the exciting launch of our new musical adventure—Choir!
In continuing our partnership with the Academy of Music, we are thrilled to offer this new opportunity that aims to inspire our kids and get them singing! This program is open to all students, and we’ll be offering two class groups with limited space:
- Kinder-2 Students: A 20-minute class with instruction provided by the Academy of Music.
- Grades 3-5 Students: A full hour class, also led by instructors from the Academy of Music.
Students participating in Choir will have the chance to perform 1-2 songs during Strathcona’s Christmas Concert. Additionally, they’ll have the opportunity to showcase their talents at the Academy of Music’s Christmas Concert. We hope that students who love to sing and perform will grow their skills and experience the joy of sharing their voices on an exciting, larger stage.
We are also looking for some ground crew to help support this mission! High school students and interested Strathcona parents are welcome to join us in getting the Choir program off the ground.
